Find a Student Organization

There are over 1,400 student organizations at Ohio State and over half of all students join a student organization. Students who choose to get involved achieve many positive outcomes - leadership skills, better grades, friendships and mentors, and make a big campus seem small. Use the tools below to search for, find, and get involved with student organizations.

You can also connect with many of our student organizations at our Student Involvement Fairs in August and January. Check out the Student Involvement Fairs webpage for the latest information.

For individualized assistance find the student organization that's right for you, schedule a Get Involved Consultation. These 30-minute meetings will provide a personalized list of recommendations based on your interests and aspirations.

Please consult this list of student organizations with revoked registration as of Autumn 2024. Some organizations continue to operate after their registration has been revoked despite the action taken by the university. We encourage you to review an organization’s status before becoming involved with it, especially because sometimes an organization’s status is revoked due to serious concerns like hazing and other behavior that risks your health and safety.

Welding Engineering Distance Student Network Collaboration

Campus: Columbus
Status: Inactive
Purpose Statement: The Welding Engineering ‘Distance Student Network’ Collaboration Organization aims to connect the hundreds of online distance students currently pursuing their Welding Engineering degrees at The Ohio State University. This organization encourages increased collaboration and communication amongst the Welding Engineering distance students through mentorship opportunities, professional development and engagement with on-campus Ohio State University Welding Engineering students. The Welding Engineering ‘Distance Student Network’ Collaboration Organization supports the further development of the Welding Engineering profession by encouraging student participation and engagement within the industry, while providing a network in which online distance students can connect, share experiences and support all members of The Ohio State University Welding Engineering community. Through the completion of scheduled virtual and in-person volunteer activities, the Welding Engineering distance students can connect with other students in the organization and further promote community engagement through multiple geographical areas. By scheduling geographical and regional meetings, with virtual ‘call-in opportunities’, the Welding Engineering distance students at The Ohio State University can connect, share network connections and experiences and mentor other students in their regions through community outreach and support. Furthermore, this organization provides a collaborative organization in which current Ohio State University students interested in the Welding Engineering program can speak with current students, ask questions and gain insight into the program. Through completion of regional outreach programs and incentives, specific to Welding Engineering, current Ohio State University Welding Engineering students can share their passion and positive prospective of the program.
