Student organization leaders, members and advisors can take advantage of a variety of required and optional programs throughout the year. These programs are designed to develop individual leadership skills, build effective teams, engage in the community and navigate university processes and policies. Student Org Essentials unites student leaders and campus experts to talk through a variety of exciting and important topics relevant to today’s student organization at Ohio State. The series will be held on Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. All organization members are invited.
Apply for up to $500 to fund a member development experience for your organization. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, though funds are awarded first-come, first served. Only virtual experiences that are intended for either the whole organization, just new members, or just leadership teams will be funded in Spring 2021. Student Activities will work with your organization to host a meaningful opportunity for your members to engage with one another through a coaching process once an application has been approved.
August 22, 2021 and January 2022
The Student Involvement Fair (SIF) is a great place to find a student organization that meets your needs and interests as well as for student organizations to connect with other orgs, find members, and spread the word about their organization. There are two annual Student Involvement Fairs. One takes place during Welcome Week on August 22, 2021 and the other takes place at the start of Spring Semester.

October 5, 2021 at 5:30-7 p.m.
All student organizations are invited to our annual Open House in the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service. This annual events takes place each October. More information about the 2021 KBK Center Open House will be available in early autumn semester.
The Student Life Leadership Awards is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates members of the Ohio State community who demonstrate exceptional skills in leadership, activism, community engagement, and Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience. Over more than 60 years, The Ohio State University has recognized hundreds of students, advisors and organizations who demonstrate leadership skills, collaboration, and a commitment to the Ohio State community. The Ohio State Leadership Awards are sponsored by the Office of Student Life.
Are you just beginning your leadership journey? Looking to expand your leadership skills? Want to connect with other students while growing skills that will allow you to succeed in class, in your co-curricular experiences, and in your career path? LEAD is a series of open workshops available to all Ohio State students. Our goal is to make leadership more accessible and inclusive to students throughout the year.
All advisors and co-advisors are invited to participate in monthly roundtable discussions. This is an opportunity to connect with the Student Org Team and fellow advisors on topics of shared interest. These roundtables will have a fairly informal agenda including the latest updates, brief presentation of content, and informal discussion with fellow advisors. Roundtables will be offered virtually, recorded and shared after each session.

All advisors and co-advisors are invited to attend our autumn Advisor Breakfast. This is an opportunity to connect with fellow advisors, your student org team, and your student leaders. Advisors are encouraged to invite up to 2 student leaders to attend with them. The autumn semester Advisor Breakfast has passed. Watch for details for our spring semester event.

December 9, 2021 at Noon - 4 p.m.
All students are welcome to stop by the KBK Center for Student Leadership and Service on Reading Day each semester for Coffee and Coloring Books. Take time at the end of each semester to relax with fellow student org members and friends. No pre-registration required.

Student Activities invites all new student organizations to an event designed to facilitate your transition into an established member of our student organization community. Our goal is to equip you with the tools you need to be successful so that your organization builds a foundation that ensures it will last for years to come.
Attendees can look forward to engaging with our most frequently sought-after student organization resources, learning more about the support that is available, and networking with one another. Any leader or member of your organization is welcome to attend.
New Organization Networking Night is available to student organizations who have launched or re-launched their Active Status in the last two years.
