Office Tenants
Student organizations with office space are expected to host weekly office hours to maintain a consistent presence in the KBK Center. These organizations are also encouraged to attend and participate in the annual KBK Center Open House each fall—a great opportunity to showcase their mission and connect with the campus community.
Office Tenant Benefits
- Shared workspace for organization work, meetings & storage
- Stationary location for the organization: i.e. recruitment, other student leaders close by, close to Student Org Success Coaches and Ohio Union and Student Activities Staff
- Proximity to Resource Room and other resources
- Visibility within a large student organization community
Locker Tenants
Locker tenants are not required to host office hours, but they are equally encouraged to take part in the KBK Center Open House. Participation allows these organizations to increase visibility, share their work, and engage with fellow students in a collaborative environment.
All student organizations with active status may apply for office or locker space in the KBK Center. Tenants of these spaces have 24/7 access to their office or locker space to further their leadership aspirations and help to create a positive space for collaboration and creativity.
Locker Tenant Benefits
- Easily accessible storage space on campus
- Stationary location for the organization: other student leaders close by, close to Student Org Success Coaches and Ohio Union and Student Activities Staff
- Proximity to Resource Room and other resources
Things to Know
- All student organizations (regardless of active/inactive/pending status) are eligible to apply for an office or locker.
- Only student organizations who achieve Active status by April 16, 2026 are eligible to receive an office or locker. This includes new organizations who want to be eligible for space. Selected organizations that are not active by this date will forfeit their space.
- All current office/ locker tenants must re-apply annually to maintain their current space, or request to switch to a different space (e.g. from locker to office).
- An automatic confirmation email will be sent once your application is submitted. If you do not receive a confirmation email, we did not receive your application.
- Late applications will not be accepted.
- All applicants will be notified of their tenant status at the beginning of the following Summer Semester.
