There are over 1,400 student organizations at Ohio State and over half of all students join a student organization. Students who choose to get involved achieve many positive outcomes - leadership skills, better grades, friendships and mentors, and make a big campus seem small. Use the tools below to search for, find, and get involved with student organizations.

Please consult this list of student organizations with revoked registration as of Spring 2024. Some organizations continue to operate after their registration has been revoked despite the action taken by the university. We encourage you to review an organization’s status before becoming involved with it, especially because sometimes an organization’s status is revoked due to serious concerns like hazing and other behavior that risks your health and safety.

Purpose Statement: One for the World at Ohio State (OFTW) is a student-run philanthropy group, functioning as a constituent part of the international One for the World movement. One for the World is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded in 2014 to change charitable giving in order to end extreme poetry. One for the World has more than 75 established chapters at undergraduate, MBA, law, and medical schools across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K. to advocate about the problem of extreme poverty, educate students about effective giving and motivate students to consider pledging at least 1% of their post-grad income to a portfolio of highly effective charities. One for the World at Ohio State’s purpose is to revolutionize charitable giving in order to end extreme poverty. To this end, One for the World at Ohio State has a triple mandate: 1. Advocate for those living in extreme poverty by providing programming and content that raises awareness about the problem of extreme poverty. 2. Educate students about a possible solution to extreme poverty called effective giving. 3. Motivate students to consider pledging at least 1% of their post-grad income to a portfolio of highly effective charities serving those living in extreme poverty.
