Student Employment
Our student employees play a vital role in fulfilling Student Activities' mission to facilitate meaningful involvement, community engagement and leadership development, which enables all students to contribute to a global society. Through these employment roles, students experience an inclusive and holistic approach to learning as well as personal and professional development.
Listed below are our student employment roles. Hiring typically takes place in spring semester, although positions are available throughout the year based on team needs. Open positions are posted at handshake.osu.edu.
Information Center and the Discount Ticket Program
The Information Center Specialists are the first face for guests in the Ohio Union and a hub of information. They direct clients, visitors and students to spaces in the building and around campus. The Info Center is the home to our campus lost and found as well as D-Tix, the Discount Ticket Program. The Info Center is located on the first floor of the Ohio Union near the High Street entrance.
Regular Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-Midnight, Saturday 9 a.m.-1 a.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-Mignight
Resource Room in the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service
The Office Assistants serve as the front desk for Student Activities. They support student organizations by providing access to meeting rooms, office and locker space, equipment rental and a variety of creative and office supplies. The Resource Room serves as the hub for student orgs and is an intergral component to all activities within the KBK Center. The Resource Room is located on the second floor of the Ohio Union, in the southwest corner.
Regular Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
Student Government Suite in the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service
The Office Assistants provide administrative support for the three student governments - Council of Graduate Students, Inter-Professional Council and Undergraduate Student Government. They work closely with post-doc students as well as OUAB Grad/Prof events. The Suite is located on the second floor of the Ohio Union, in the southwest corner.
