Attendance, Expectations, and Instructions for Student Orgs

The 2020 Spring Student Involvement Fair will be held Thursday, January 16 from 4-7 p.m. in the Ohio Union. Below is information about the Fair, for participating organizations, and for students looking to get involved.

Registration and Check-in

All participating organizations must be pre-registered, or use the day-of standby process. Pre-registered organizations must check in between 2-3:30 p.m., in-person on the main floor of the Ohio Union outside the Great Hall Meeting Room, which is across from the information desk. Any organization not checked in by 3:30 p.m. may forfeit their table and have it reassigned to a standby organization. Participating student organizations must be in Active or Pending status to have a presence at the Fair.

Organizations interested in the day-of standby list may add their name to the list between 2-3:30 p.m. at the check-in location. Once check-in closes for pre-registered organizations, any remaining tables will be reallocated on a first-come first-served basis. Standby organizations should return to the check-in table for possible assignments by 3:45 p.m.

Navigating the Fair

With over 300 organizations represented at the Fair, it can be a lot to navigate. Check out the list of all pre-registered organizations and the Fair map to help plan your time at the Fair. Paper copies of the map will also be available on the day of the Fair at a credenza on the first floor of the Ohio Union near Bronze Brutus. Knowledgeable student leaders will be available outside the rooms to help answer questions and direct you to the organizations you're looking for.

Fair Rules

For everyone's safety and enjoyment, there are certain rules that we ask all organizations and attendees follow during the Fair. All pre-registered and standby organizations should review the Fair Rules and ensure their plans align. Any questions, accommodation needs, or special requests can be directed to

Getting Involved

The Student Involvement Fair is one of the many ways Ohio State students connect with involvement opportunities, especially student organizations. Before you get to the Fair, check out the list of all pre-registered organizations including student organizations, campus departments, and community partners. There is space for only half of our student organizations at the Fair, so if you don't see what you're looking for, check out the Student Org Online Directory to search and find contact information for any organization.
