Pay It Forward has created a Socially Distant Service webpage in response to the current health crisis. If you are looking to volunteer consider the following, call ahead to see if they are accepting volunteers, practice social distancing, inquire about virtual volunteer roles, consider donating items or dollars instead of time.

In fulfillment of the university's mission, "education for citizenship," Ohio State students have numerous opportunities to connect with communities, engage in social justice issues, and develop skills for active citizenship. Student Activities offers a variety of programs designed to help students engage at a local, national, and global level.

Details

Volunteers wanted for E-Waste Recycling Event! During your time volunteering with us, you will be helping us to breakdown used electronics. Not tech-savvy? Not to worry! We will train you on-site and a Volunteer Manager will be working with you during the entire volunteer shift. Objects you may be moving include: - Most all electronic devices - Computers & Servers - Laptops - PDA's - iPads & iPods - Cell phones - Gaming systems - Home stereos - VCRs - DVD players - Wires & cables - LCD and CRT monitors - Keyboards - Computer mice - Printers - Scanners - Copiers - Ink and toner cartridges - Computer parts and accessories Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable pants, and shirt as you will be moving around and may be lifting heavy objects. Also make sure to dress weather appropriate, as we will be working outside! We have events April 18th and 20th- 25th and May 2nd from 8am- 2pm Events will be at Hoff Woods Park, JP Morgan Chase, First Merchants Bank, Hilliard Environmental Sustainability Commission, and Muirfield Village Foundation in the Columbus area.
