Buckeye Mela is a national intercollegiate Bollywood Fusion and Bhangra dance competition held annually at Ohio State. This year, the competition will take place the weekend of January 24th at the Jo Ann Davidson Theater. Both Fusion and Bhangra teams will be selected to compete for top prizes in their respective categories. Founded by Ohio State’s Indian American and Indian Students Associations, Buckeye Mela has grown to be Ohio State’s largest philanthropic South Asian event and the biggest South Asian dance competition in the Midwest. Now in its 19th year, this year’s competition will be the best Mela yet - and one of the most entertaining weekends in either dance circuit’s history!
