Thank you for your interest in attending the Navigating Internet Self Diagnosis workshop! Many students today first learn about disabilities and neurodivergent conditions like ADHD, autism, or anxiety online—through TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, or Instagram. These platforms can be validating and informative, but they can also be confusing, overwhelming, or lead to more questions than answers. This workshop is a judgment-free space to explore the rising trend of internet self-diagnosis—why it happens, what it can offer, what its limits are, and how students can take informed next steps. We'll look at both the benefits and pitfalls of learning about yourself online and share tools for navigating self-diagnosis responsibly—whether or not someone ever seeks a formal diagnosis. If you have any questions, accessibility needs, or experience difficulty RSVPing for the workshop, please contact Madalyn Damron, at damron.102@osu.edu.
