DESCRIPTION:Cost: Free\nAdmission: \nFor the 63rd Mack Lecture\, ChemTALKS
is excited to invite Dr. Graham Cooks to The Ohio State University. Dr.
Cooks is a professor at Purdue University and is one of the foremost expe
rts in Mass Spectrometry.&nbsp\;Dr. R. Graham Cooks\,. a distinguished ch
emist and professor at Purdue University\, is renowned for his groundbrea
king contributions to the field of mass spectrometry. His work on the dev
elopment of ambient ionization and tandem mass spectrometry has had a pro
found impact on the efficient characterization of compounds for medical a
pplications. Notably\, his work has allowed for real-time and on-site ana
lysis of human cancer samples to aid during surgery with his development
of smaller portable mass spectrometry instrumentation. He is the author o
f over 1\,000 accepted publications and 40 issued patents. He has won var
ious prestigious awards and has been elected into the National Academy of
Sciences. His work has been pivotal in advancing the field of analytical
chemistry\, making him a leading figure in both academic and industrial
circles. This lecture series will provide invaluable insights into these
cutting-edge techniques and application of his research.\n
